Abu Sakhir Barrage Project is located in the Najaf Governorate, Al-Mashkhab District, and is considered one of the largest irrigation projects since 2003. Thus, the project will ensure the arrival of water during a drought period to the agricultural lands of the cities of Najaf and Diwaniyah
This project will feed 9000 hectare of agricultural land
It consists of seven radial gates, navigational lock, Fish pass ,10 units of residential staff Home , workshop, a warehouse, multi Storey administration building, service roads and 160 meters length of car bridge.
The beneficiary: Ministry of Water Resources.
